Women Supporting Women: Closet Concierge Supports DFWAC This October
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this year, Closet Concierge is using our platform to support women and children who need it most 🤍
Closet Concierge was founded on a simple idea: that fashion can be more sustainable, accessible and community-driven.
But at the heart of our business is something even more important - women supporting women.
We are a women-founded and women-led business, and the community that has grown around Closet Concierge is overwhelmingly made up of women. From the women who sell their pre-loved pieces with us, to the women who shop with us, attend our events, recommend us to their friends and continue to support our journey, women are at the centre of everything we do.
So this October, we wanted to turn that community into something bigger.
Supporting Women Beyond Fashion
October is recognised globally as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, an opportunity to raise awareness of domestic and gender-based violence and, importantly, to remind those experiencing abuse that support is available.
Domestic violence can affect anyone, and leaving an abusive situation or asking for help is not always straightforward. Access to safe spaces, practical support, guidance and specialist services can make an enormous difference.
That is why, throughout October, 10% of every sale made through Closet Concierge will be donated to the Dubai Foundation for Women & Children (DFWAC).
Why DFWAC?
The Dubai Foundation for Women & Children provides support and protection to women and children affected by domestic violence, abuse and human trafficking. We wanted our October campaign to support an organisation doing meaningful work within our own community here in the UAE. By donating a percentage of every sale throughout the month, we hope to turn something as simple as shopping for pre-loved fashion into an opportunity to give back.
Every Purchase Makes a Difference
We often talk about the benefits of shopping pre-loved - extending the life of clothing, reducing waste and finding incredible pieces without paying full price. But this October, there's another reason to shop with us.
Every purchase you make contributes to our donation to DFWAC.
Whether you're buying a 20 AED top, finding your next occasion dress or treating yourself to a designer piece, 10% of your purchase will be going towards supporting women and children who need help. It might feel like a small contribution, but when an entire community comes together, those small contributions can add up to something meaningful.

For us, this campaign is about more than a donation.

Closet Concierge may have started as a pre-loved fashion business, but it has grown into a community. And we want that community to stand for more than just clothes.
